Elisabeth Geel
I viaggi musicali di Elisabeth sono iniziati nei Paesi Bassi, dove è nata e cresciuta. Ancora giovanissima attraversa gli Stati Uniti suonando nei club. Dopo dieci anni di tournée in Europa, nel Medio Oriente e in Asia, si stabilisce in Italia dove si esibisce con i più importanti musicisti jazz (Fabrizio Bosso, Lino Brotto, Federico Malaman, Bruno Cesselli, Mattia Martorano, Massimo Manzi, Robert Bonisolo).
Nel 2004 partecipa alle finali del “Dutch Jazz Competition” con il virtuoso chitarrista jazz italiano Lino Brotto. Nel 2006 esce il suo album “So Cool”, acclamato dalla critica. Nello stesso anno si esibisce come vocalist ospite nell’album live di Lino Brotto, Zooga Jazz 2.
L’album, intitolato Preface to a Dream, è stato registrato dal vivo in un music hall e pubblicato dall’Accademia Musicale nel 2009. A Denver Elisabeth ha lavorato con Annie Booth e Katey Glassman in vari progetti. Elisabeth attualmente vive a Tucson, AZ, dove sta scrivendo la musica per il suo quarto album solista Desert Souvenir, una raccolta di canzoni ispirate al sud-ovest.

Elisabeth’s musical journey started from the Netherlands, where she was born and raised. Still very young, she crossed the United States playing in many clubs. After a ten year long tour in Europe, Middle East and Asia, she settled in Italy where she performed with the most important jazz musicians (Fabrizio Bosso, Lino Brotto, Federico Malaman, Bruno Cesselli, Mattia Martorano, Massimo Manzi, Robert Bonisolo).
In 2004 she took part in the finals of the “Dutch Jazz Competition” with the italian jazz guitarist virtuoso Lino Brotto. In 2006 her first album “So Cool” came out, which has been praised by critics. In the same year Elisabeth performed as a guest in Lino Brotto’s live album “Zooga Jazz 2”.
The album “Preface to a Dream” has been live recorded in a music hall and published in 2009 by the Musical Academy. In Denver Elisabeth worked with Annie Booth and Katy Glassman to different projects. Currently Elisabeth works in Tucson, AZ, and at the moment she is writing her fourth album as solo artist “Desert Souvenir”, a collection of songs inspired by the South-West.
